This will be in the form of a template or process that can be used as a resource to implement the sourcing strategy.
- The narrative
The narrative will provide the context and content of the stage within the strategic sourcing methodology. It will primarily deal with the “what” and the “why”.
- Good practice guides
The good practice guides (GPGs) are documents, processes, and standards of practice that are designed to help narrow the interpretation of the processes, practice, standards, or guidelines to enhance application. The good practice guides typically focus on the “how”.
In each of the stages, there would be specific good practice guides to assist with the application and implementation of the toolkit.
- Templates
The templates are documents that can assist in the decision-making and execution of the process. It must be noted therefore that, some of the templates may not apply to certain commodities due to the procuring institutional dynamics and needs.
