This Stage involves deciding an appropriate market engagement approach, the evaluation methodology, effectively structuring the bid and planning a realistic timetable to initiate the implementation and roll-out of the chosen sourcing strategy, selecting and awarding the business to the most appropriate supplier(s). It also involves the choice of the most appropriate procurement method. Other activities in this stage are price benchmarking, supplier vetting, implementing a negotiation strategy and calculating potential savings.
